Cannula Assembly
A wide variety of devices incorporate a needle or cannula including syringes, hypodermic and angiographic needles, IV sets and lancets. The joint is very small and cylindrical, typically joining a stainless steel cannula to a plastic hub. The joints must be well sealed to prevent fluids such as blood or medicine leaking, while the position of cannula must remain fixed.
